I am a Licensed Social Worker with a background working with diverse populations. I enjoy working with individuals who may feel disconnected, emotionally dysregulated, and systemically disenfranchised. I have experience working in and alongside higher levels of care and feel comfortable working with individuals who may have a history of accessing multiple levels of care. I’ve spent a majority of my career working with young adults in transitional and transformative periods of their life, but I feel comfortable working with a wide range of ages and experiences. I am also sex positive and kink friendly, with a special interest in providing LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
Issues I treat: Depression – including suicidal thoughts and non-suicidal self-injury, C/PTSD, body image and self-esteem, sexuality, gender identity, sex, relationships, and personality disorders. I also enjoy working with individuals (whether formally or not formally diagnosed) who fall under the neurodiversity umbrella, including but not limited to: ADHD, ASD, learning, processing, and sensory disorders.
Client focus: 14+ years old, individuals and couples.
Communities: LGBTQIA+, young adults, neurodiverse, and sex workers.
Qualifications: LSW, CTP
Treatment approach: While I have formalized training in different therapeutic approaches, I believe that people are worthy of individualized, culturally responsive, collaborative, and affirming treatment. But what does that even mean?! That means I truly believe you are the expert on you. I am here to support, affirm, join, and respect your autonomy in accessing care.
More formally: I would describe myself as integrative, relational, and person centered. I have training in CBT, DBT (including RO-DBT), and ACT as well as additional training in sex/sexuality and gender affirming care. I focus on attending training courses that are liberation oriented and culturally responsive. Recently, I’ve been exploring integrating somatically focused approaches.
